Lot 9: Lathys Farm
The important agricultural holding extending to 276.996 acres
Situate in the parishes of Poltimore and Pinhoe and only five miles from Exeter and two and a-half miles from Pinhoe Railway Station. The land is good state of cultivation, with 73 acres under cultivation, 183 acres pasture, and 7 acres of orchard. There are some cottages, Field No. 54 on plan and about 14 acres of woodlands added to this farm.
The Modern Residence
Known as ‘Ivy Cottage’, is situate at the north-east end of the holding, brick, stone and tiled, containing on the Ground Floor- entrance hall, drawing and dining rooms, kitchen and usual offices. Upper Floor- seven bed rooms, bath room (h & c), W.C.
Farm Buildings
Brick and stone built and slated comprising:
West Range - cow house with tying for 25 head, mixing house, loft and granary over. North Range- Pound house, cider cellar, cart shed, and wood house. South Range- seven cart horse stable, root house, wash-house, cellar with loft over, piggeries and wagon and cart shed. Detached buildings – bull house, calf pen, cattle shed with tying for 7 head, stone and timber-built and iron.
The Outlining Farm Premises Known as ‘Lathys’
Comprising two cottages, brick-built, straw thatched, containing five and four rooms respectively, occupied by the farm servants. Well water.
The Farm Buildings
Comprise cider cellar, cow house tying for 7 heads, implement shed, loft over, cattle shed, five-bay open shed for 20 herd with open yard, two piggeries, all stone-built, part-timber and tiled.

Cob, stucco and thatched containing four and three rooms respectively, occupied by Messer’s. Bailey and Miller, being No. 54 on Order Plan.
